"וַתָּמָת שָׂרָה בְּקִרְיַת אַרְבַּע הִיא חֶבְרוֹן...". כידוע לנו על דרך פנימיות וחסידות, שם הפרשה הוא 

הציר סביבו סובבת הפרשה, ולכאורה הכלל אינו עומד במבחן הפרשה שלנו. לא זו בלבד ששרה 

אינה חיה עוד, אלא שכל ההתרחשויות שבה הן תוצאה ברורה ממותה של שרה. כדי להשיב, 

נפתח צוהר לשתי התיבות המרכיבות את שם הפרשה חַיֵּי שָׂרָה. נבחן על דרך חסידות ופנימיות

את מהותם של החיים, וגם נשתדל לעלות לשורשיה של שָׂרָה, גם מזווית הראיה המילולית וגם 

מהזווית הרוחנית. וב"ה, נזכה לגלות האת חיותה של שרה הצפונה בפרשה..
